MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Reva Vangates

Welcome

We are thrilled to welcome you to our digital home. As a chapter of The Links Incorporated, we are part of an organization with a rich and impactful history, deeply rooted in service and community uplift.

The Links Incorporated was established in 1946 by our visionary founders, Margaret Roselle Hawkins and Sarah Strickland Scott, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their goal was to connect like-minded women in a chain of friendship and to use that bond to create meaningful change in their communities. What began as a small group has blossomed into an international organization of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 299 chapters, all committed to transforming their communities through five key facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services.

Here in South Florida, the Miami-Biscayne Bay (FL) Chapter has a proud legacy of our own. Since our chartering on June 30, 2010, we have been dedicated to serving the unique needs of our vibrant community. We have provided scholarships to deserving students, supported local arts programs, and advocated for health equity, just to name a few of our initiatives. Our members are passionate about making a tangible difference, and our website is a testament to the ongoing work and dedication we bring to the Miami area.

We invite you to explore our site to learn more about our programs, events, and how we continue to embody the ideals of friendship and service. Thank you for visiting, and we hope you will join us in our mission to create a brighter future for the next generation.
